The Owensboro-Daviess County Humane Society is a no kill shelter which means the animals at the shelter stay at the shelter until they are adopted. Since the society is a no kill shelter, they have a very limited number of animals they can care for at any given time, so its important to get these animals adopted as soon as possible. 

These are examples of the types of dogs that have been available at the shelter. The selection changes daily, so visit soon.

Max is the max! Five year old male boxer. No children. He does not like men. Neutered, heartworm tested, 6 month pro-heart, rabies, all vaccination

Libby is a two year old female Black Norweigian Elkhound mix. Spayed, heartworm, 6 month pro-heart, rabies shots.

Baby is 3 years old, spayed, Pro-heart, rabies, dewormed.

Rosie is a Lab and Malamute Mix. One year old and very friendly. She is the sister of Rocky. Has been spayed and had rabies and proheart protection.

Baxter is a terrier mix and is three years old. Very friendly dog. Has been neutered, has rabies and proheart protection.

Greta

Greta is a female full blooded German Shephard, 2 years old, housebroken, spayed, all shots, heartworm tested negative, on heartworm preventative.
