OVER 60 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE!

The fall of 1939 was the first year for the Daviess County High School Band. Under the direction of Mr. C. T. Pollard, music supervisor, the band made its first public appearance on November 11 in the Armistice Day parade. The band also performed during intermission at the basketball games adding much enjoyment to the games. A good showing was made by the band at the district music meet in Bowling Green on April 13. Opal Likins was ranked among the drum majors and was named assistant band director.
