This is the 71st Annual Christmas Parade in Owensboro Kentucky!
Seventy-one years of tradition come together this year to illuminate "Christmas - A Time for Peace." What does "peace" mean to you? No fighting or wars? No famine? No poverty? Quiet? Being with loved ones? What is peace for you. Come experience peace as presented by the participants in the parade. Help us spark the magic of Christmas and the excitement of the season during the 71st annual Christmas Parade held in downtown Owensboro. Owensboro hosts one of the largest parades in Kentucky, second only to the Pegasus Parade in Louisville. We are the largest Christmas parade in the tri-state area. Please join us in downtown Owensboro Kentucky on November 17th 2007 for our version of "Christmas - A Time for Peace." The parade starts promptly at 4:30 PM and includes lighted units for that extra special effect. Over 10,000 spectators start gathering early in the afternoon to get the perfect spot to watch over one hundred twenty units. There will be over eight marching bands, Shriner Clowns and their miniature automobile antics, fire trucks, beauty queens, miniature horses, dozens of decorated floats, elected officials and much more. Spend an evening in historic downtown Owensboro and spark that magical Christmas feeling, again.
